In 2018, through a partnership with the International Mission Board, we were introduced to a UUPG - an unengaged, unreached people group - in Central Mexico that had never heard the gospel. They are called the Temascaltepec Nahuatl, an Aztec people located in the Eje Neovolcanico Mexico mountains. Our first trip to meet these amazing people was in March 2019. Since then, we have seen God do mighty things, from seeing a paralyzed girl walk to having an entire village and its elders open up to our church and our partner church in Toluca, Iglesia Bautista Torre Fuerta.
Currently, over 70 "Temas" have come to faith in Jesus Christ. Through providing eye exams, working alongside with villagers, and sharing the good news of Jesus, we are committed to starting a healthy, reproducing church in Portrero de San Jose that can be used to send out missionaries and start churches in the other Nahuatl villages.
